CAFE COTINGA

Café Cotinga is the first coffee selected for, and bearing the label of, the National Aviary. The Aviary, located in Pittsburgh’s North Side, is the national institution dedicated to the conservation, health and welfare of birds. Its beautiful facility is the home of dozens of bird species, including many endangered birds. The Aviary is internationally known for its captive breeding, field research, and avian veterinary programs. The initial coffee selection is from San Ignacio, high in the Andes Mountains of northern Peru. This coffee has a fuller body, and notes of chocolate, cherry and almond. Café Cotinga comes in 12 ounce vacuum-sealed bags. Blue Horse will donate $2.00 to the Aviary for every bag it sells.
